The ongoing transformation of Apache Boulevard to a lively Tempe corridor continues with an exciting new infill development named “The District” that includes 279 new apartments and street level commercial space. As part of the project the long time Tempe business, Baer’s Den, has been relocated and rebuilt on the site. The project anticipates opening August of 2013.
Mill Avenue District’s World Of Beer (MAD WOB) opened to long lines and big buzz on August 8, 2012 after months of a fantastic renovation and adaptive re-use of the historic Egyptian Revival Style Tempe National Bank building at 6th Street and Mill Avenue. WOB supports Tempe and Arizona’s growing independent, craft beer industry and Mill Avenue’s continuing tradition of creativity in business.
